Small Business Saturday
Small Business Saturday is a special day that was founded in 2010 by American Express. The purpose of this was to give small businesses a special day between Black Friday and Cyber Monday to generate business for their indie shops.
Shopping at the Thrift Barns of Morris County on Small Business Saturday (and any day) helps us help others. We are a non-profit. Every one of the people who work at and for the Book Barn and Bargain Barn are 100% volunteer. No one is paid. Everything we sell has been donated by others, and all of our proceeds (after paying our bills) gets donated to a handful of charities in our community.
In addition to helping others, we have incredible prices. Our Book Barn prices are so low, with most hardcovers at $3 and most softcovers at $2, that you won’t find anything over $5 unless it’s a very special (specially priced) item. You get so much more for your buck than you would at big box stores, and much of the things you’ll find you won’t be able to find anywhere else.
It’s a win win!
We hope to see you this Small Business Saturday, and hope you will continue to shop at the Thrift Barns of Morris County this holiday season. Keep posted to our website and social media for closures and holiday hours.
